The Nyoum Pyramids are a lesser-known but equally impressive set of pyramids located in the desert of ADH 6 October, Egypt. These pyramids were built during the 13th dynasty, around 1783-1649 BCE, and were constructed as a burial site for the pharaohs and their queens.

Unlike the more famous pyramids of Giza, the Nyoum Pyramids are not as large in size, but they are unique in their design. The pyramids are made up of multiple layers, or “steps,” which give them a distinct appearance. The largest pyramid, known as the Pyramid of Senusret III, stands at 48 meters tall and is made up of 7 steps.

The Nyoum Pyramids were constructed using a combination of limestone and mud bricks, which were then covered in a layer of white plaster. This plaster has since eroded away, leaving the pyramids with a rough, textured appearance.

One interesting feature of the Nyoum Pyramids is the presence of a small chapel located near the base of each pyramid. These chapels were used for offerings and rituals, and would have been an important part of the burial process.
